Seeking MusiciansOVERLORD is seeking a new singer (MALE) to contribute and record an album of original metal. website: http://www.nauticom.net/www/dfklak/Overlord/index2.htm

Our Original music is in the vein of Godsmack, Alice in Chains, Kings X, ect. We have been playing out a few times a month, and want to continue that pace. Not looking for rock stars, just a good singer! Not looking to make it, just record and play some gigs! We are all VERY seasoned pro musicians with years of exp.

We have a PA, all pro equipment and a private rehearsal studio in the North Hills area.

Attention Sax Players! Email Article To a Friend View Printable Version

Seeking MusiciansI'm looking for musicians to start a small modern-sounding swing band that will play originals as well as some standards. I'd like the group to be within the ages of 20 and 30 and mirror groups such as Royal Crown Revue, Squirrel Nut Zippers, etc. Kind of a cool, ganster-like dirty swing sound mixed with an R&B new Soul sound.

    I'm looking for a:
    Bassist (upright if possible)
    Tenor Sax
    Alto Sax
    Female Vocalist

I'd like to start playing ASAP and hopefully, in the next year start playing out at small venues, parties, weddings, etc.

Interested? Please e-mail me at: thebeginningofnewthings@yahoo.com
It's a long address, I know, so make sure you have it right. Alright, can't wait to meet you!

New ReleasesLocal band Pete Killed Pete has been featured on Hometown Records' 2005 Emerging Artists compilation album with their single, "Refrain". To celebrate their new single, PKP teamed up with Ship King Multimedia to film a music video for the song! The lead female role is played by Maria Caruso, dancer/CEO of Pittsburgh's Bodiography Contemporary Ballet. Live band footage was shot in March at Peter's Pub in Oakland. The debut is set for July 18 at 9pm. The usual Monday night festivities at Walnut Grill will be augmented by this rare multimedia event, presented by the premier music video and photography producers in the region. The evening will include musical performances by James Patla, lead singer/guitarist of Pete Killed Pete, and by David Urbanic (the Vinson Massif), video director and co-founder of Ship King Multimedia.
